- First Sunday Each Month - Prayer Gathering
- We will meet at the church office for prayer at 5:30 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month. This will be a time to seek the face of God and to pray for our church and community. Childcare is provided.

- August 8 - John Weinstein
- John Weinstein will be the guest pastor on Sunday, August 8.
- August 9 - Men's Softball Games
- The men's softball team has games at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. at Rex Field.

- August 12 - Witnessing 101
- Learn how to quickly find what you need in the Bible to help you be a more effective witness as Pastor Soma uses memorization to teach us. This four-week course will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Thursdays beginning August 12 at the church office.

- August 15 - True Testimonies
- Members of Calvary Fellowship will be sharing their stories as to how they came to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, and the difference that Jesus has made in their lives. Others will share what Calvary Fellowship has meant and continues to mean to them. During worship at 10:30 a.m. in the Bayou Building, both videotaped and live testimonies will be shared.

- Presented by the U.B.A., a Bible Study Leadership Training seminar will be held at South Main Baptist Church from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. All Bible Study teachers are encouraged to attend.

- August 22 - Will Mancini
- Will Mancini will be the guest pastor on Sunday, August 22.
- August 22 - Church Family Picnic
- Join us at 5:00 p.m. at Frankie Carter Randolph Park on FM 2351 for fun games, fellowship, and food. B-B-Q will be served, and everyone is requested to bring a dish to serve 6-8 people according to your last name:

- August 27 - Garage Sale Preparation
- Volunteers are needed to help the youth price the items donated for their garage sale. Meet at the church office on Friday, August 27.

- August 28 - Youth Garage Sale
- The Calvary Youth Group will be selling donated items from 6:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. to raise money.

- September 4-6 - Singles Retreat
- The Calvary Singles Home Group is planning a Labor Day Retreat to Fredericksburg, Texas, where they will stay at the "Porch Swing" Bed and Breakfast right off main street. The group will leave Saturday morning, September 4, and return late afternoon on Monday, September 6. A guest speaker will share uplifting, life application Bible study. This event is open to college age or older singles.

- September 12 - James Furr
- James Furr will be the guest pastor on Sunday, September 12.
- September 17 & 18 - Trinity Pines Maintenance Catch-Up Day
- Our Men's Ministry will have a kick-off weekend at Trinity Pines to help them with some much needed maintenance. Trinity Pines will provide all maintenance materials, lodging, and meals. The men from Calvary will arrive on Friday evening and have a free retreat time for fellowship before work begins on Saturday morning. Please call to sign up by Wednesday, August 25.
